Privacy Policy
MarketMeet helps local buyers and sellers coordinate item pickups. This policy explains the information MarketMeet processes and how it is used.
Information we collect
Seller accounts may include a name or business name, sign-in email, mobile number, ZIP code, time zone, notification preferences, item details and pickup settings. Buyer pickup records may include a name and, when voluntarily provided, a mobile number or email address. MarketMeet also processes pickup dates and times, reschedule and cancellation activity, pickup locations and instructions, and basic technical or service logs needed to operate and protect the service.
How we use information
We use information to provide pickup scheduling and coordination, maintain transaction history, show the correct pickup details, send requested notifications and reminders, prevent abuse, troubleshoot the service, and understand aggregate product usage.
Text messaging and mobile information
SMS participation is optional. MarketMeet sends text messages only after the recipient affirmatively opts in. Message frequency varies based on pickup activity. Message and data rates may apply. Recipients may reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help.
Mobile information, including mobile phone numbers and SMS consent or opt-in data, will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. SMS consent is not a condition of using MarketMeet or scheduling a pickup.
Service providers
MarketMeet uses service providers to operate the product, including hosting and application infrastructure, database and authentication services, email delivery, SMS delivery, and mapping/location services. These providers process information only as needed to provide their services to MarketMeet. MarketMeet does not sell personal information.
Location information
Sellers choose a pickup location and control when an exact pickup address becomes visible to the buyer. MarketMeet may use location data to display maps, directions, aggregate geographic analytics, and the pickup information selected by the seller.
Retention and security
MarketMeet retains information for as long as reasonably needed to operate the service, maintain transaction records, resolve issues, prevent abuse, and satisfy applicable obligations. We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, but no online service can guarantee absolute security.
Your choices
You may decline SMS messages and still use MarketMeet. You may opt out of MarketMeet SMS at any time by replying STOP. Sellers can also change notification preferences in Seller Settings. Buyers can choose not to provide a mobile number or email address unless they want those contact methods used for pickup updates.
Children
MarketMeet is not directed to children under 13.
Changes
We may update this policy as MarketMeet evolves. The effective date shown above will be updated when material changes are made.
